Rare New Vintage boxed Jean Patou Pour Homme Aftershave 90ml spray 1980 formula. Rare original formulation Jean Patou Pour Homme, new, boxed and unused 90ml after shave (no propellant), without the cap. Made in France, from the nose of the esteemed Jean Kerleo. Reminiscent in equal measure to my untrained nose, of the earlier release of Drakkar (Original) by Guy Laroche from 1972 and Macassar by Rochas, from the same year of release.

A fragrance for lovers of fougère fragrances and collectors alike, Patou Pour Homme is universally acknowledged as one of the best examples of a leather / amber fougère for men. The original aftershave formulation from 1980, of which this is an example, lasts for 6-7 hours on my skin and is an exquisite example of an early 1980s masculine scent. Contains oakmoss, patchouli, leather and vetiver in abundance which give the fragrance good sillage and excellent longevity. The drydown is elegant and refined with real Mysore sandalwood, discernible amounts of oakmoss, natural herbal and aromatic ingredients and bright aldehydic notes.
